Final placements

Placements

ICFAI Business School (IBS) has built a consistent track record of placements, with reputed companies visiting campuses year after year. The focus remains on aligning academic learning with industry expectations and preparing students for professional roles.

The program is designed with a cross-functional perspective, supported by case-based learning and a mandatory Summer Internship Program (SIP). These elements give students exposure to real business situations and help them apply management concepts in organizational settings. Many internships also translate into final placement opportunities.

IBS has developed strong corporate relationships over the years, ensuring students are exposed to diverse roles across sectors.

Career Management Centre

The Career Management Centre (CMC)

Placements at IBS are coordinated through the Career Management Centre (CMC), which operates across all campuses. The CMC works closely with students throughout the program, offering structured support and guidance.

Key initiatives include:

  • Pre-placement talks and workshops
  • Personality development and career grooming
  • Career counselling and guidance

Placement is a shared responsibility. IBS provides the platform and support; students are expected to actively engage with the process.

Industry Connect & Outreach

CMC teams engage extensively with industry, visiting over 1000 companies across the country each year. These interactions help build long-term relationships and keep the institute aligned with current hiring trends.

Guest lectures, workshops, and seminars by industry professionals provide insights into market expectations. Networking sessions with recruiters create opportunities for direct interaction.

How CMCs
Operate

Each IBS campus has a Career Management Cell (CMC) headed by a Placement Coordinator and supported by Deans, Associate Deans, Area Coordinators, and Placement Managers.

Collaborative Effort: Campus placement is a joint effort; when the campus and student work together, the chances of success increase significantly.

Placement Management System (PMS): This online portal enables real-time sharing of job market data and opportunities across all nine campuses, allowing Placement Coordinators to leverage collective strengths and respond to market trends with ease.

Student Preparation Sessions

Dedicated Preparation: The 40-Session Roadmap

  • The Schedule: The team conducts 10 sessions per semester, totaling 40 sessions from Semester I to Semester IV.
