Campus Life & Beyond-Classroom Learning

Student Clubs

IBS places great emphasis on student-led activities. The co-curricular and extracurricular initiatives organised by student clubs are an integral part of the learning ecosystem at IBS. These clubs offer students an excellent platform to meet new people, develop leadership qualities, deepen specific interests, build character, learn teamwork, and understand management in practice.

Through participation in these clubs, students learn to adapt, compromise, negotiate and collaborate in diverse situations. While they play a critical role in the transformation process, they also make campus life engaging and memorable. The challenges of a multicultural environment and the dynamics of a competitive setting are turned into opportunities for self-discovery and growth.

There are several student clubs across IBS campuses, managed by students themselves and catering to all aspects of campus life. Each club is supported by a faculty mentor and a student coordinator who provide guidance whenever required.

Campus Life & Beyond-Classroom Learning

College Fests

IBS students actively participate in organising management fests, sports fests and cultural fests that bring together students from leading B-schools across the country. Such interactions enhance peer learning and help develop organisational and leadership skills that are highly valued by organisations today.

International Immersion Programme

IBS encourages students to self-fund and participate in International Immersion Programmes across various countries. These experiences provide valuable global exposure, help students understand cross-cultural contexts and develop a broader perspective on how businesses operate in different parts of the world.

Mentoring

During the first year of the programme, the Section Head along with a Faculty member teaching that section provides mentoring support to students. In the second year, students are grouped based on their elective streams and are mentored by their SIP Guides and Area Coordinators. Additional guidance is provided by ACO/Dy ACOs and PCO/Dy PCOs as required, particularly in academic progress and placement preparedness.

Learning through Buddy System

By Students

A group of senior batch students who have excelled academically and demonstrate the right attitude and skills support junior students by helping them understand subjects wherever required. They also guide them in strengthening networking abilities, computer skills and adapting to courses they may not have been exposed to earlier.

By Alumni Members

In addition to peer support, students benefit from guidance provided by IBS alumni. Alumni share real-world experiences, current market insights and approaches to career preparation. They also assist students in selecting electives based on individual strengths, interests and aptitude. Beyond the campus experience, alumni continue to serve as valuable points of contact for career guidance and professional direction. This engagement helps students build confidence and develop into well-rounded professionals.

Certification Courses

Certification Courses

Certification courses are an integral part of the MBA/PGPM curriculum at IBS and are designed to equip students with industry-relevant skills that complement their management education.

Students are required to complete two certification courses during the programme—one in Semester II, and one in Semester III. These certifications are carefully selected to align with evolving industry needs and current business practices.

By developing specialised competencies beyond the core curriculum, students enhance their professional profiles and strengthen their readiness for the workplace. As recruiters increasingly seek candidates with diverse, job-ready skills, these certifications improve employability and support students in securing roles aligned with their career aspirations.

All certification courses completed during the programme are reflected in the grade sheet and final transcript, providing formal recognition of the additional competencies acquired and demonstrating students' capabilities to prospective employers throughout their careers.
