IBSAT 2026 –Application Guidelines

Important Instructions

Before filling out the online application, please carefully read the eligibility criteria given on the reverse of the voucher and also on the website ibsindia.org.

Gather the following information to complete the process:

  • Ensure you have a valid email address, telephone number, and postal address. These should remain active throughout the admission process.
  • Keep marksheets of Class X, Class XII, Graduation, and any other professional qualification ready for calculating percentage of marks. The percentage must be calculated as per the rules of the Board/University/Institution you are graduating from.
  • If your institution awards GPA/CGPA, convert it into percentage using the institution's conversion scheme.
  • If no scheme exists, divide the obtained CGPA by the maximum CGPA and multiply by 100.

Filling the Application Form

A. Profile

Enter your details: Name (as in academic records), Date of Birth, Gender, Citizenship, Address, Email ID, and Telephone Numbers.

  • As all communication will be through email, ensure your email ID is correct.
  • After clicking Proceed, review your entries.
  • To make changes, click Back. To confirm, click Submit.

B. Program & Past Academic Record

School/Intermediate

  • Board: Enter board name.
  • Year of Passing: Select from drop-down.
  • Marks (%): Round off to the nearest digit (81.01-81.49 = 81; 81.50 = 82).
  • Medium: Choose from drop-down.

Graduation

  • Title: Select from drop-down, or choose Other if not listed.
  • Duration: Select program length in years.
  • Year of Passing: Select from drop-down.
  • If completed: Enter final year of passing.
  • If studying: Enter likely completion year.
  • Marks (%): Enter aggregate percentage (rounded off).
  • If completed: Enter final aggregate.
  • If studying: Enter aggregate till date.
  • Medium: Choose from drop-down.
  • University Name: Enter affiliated University.
  • College: Enter college name.
  • State/City: Enter location details.

Post-Graduation / Professional Qualifications (for PhD Applicants)

  • Title: Select the title from the drop down list. If the title is not available in the drop down list, please select “other” option in the list and provide the title in the space provided.
  • Specialization: Select the specialization from the drop down list.
  • University Name: Enter the name of the University the college is affiliated to.
  • Duration:Select the duration of program in terms of number of years from the drop down list.
  • Year of Passing: Select the year of passing from the drop down list.
  • Marks (%): Indicate your aggregate marks percentage, rounded off to the nearest digit.The decimals from 0.5 and above have to be rounded off to the next higher number.
  • Medium: Indicate your medium of instruction from the drop down list.
  • Mode of Study: Indicate whether you have studied full time, part time or in distance mode.

On clicking “Proceed” you will view the complete data you have keyed in. In case you wish to make any changes you have to click the “Back” button else if you wish to proceed with submitting the data you have to click “Submit” button.

C. Photograph

Please use your computer's webcam or mobile camera to take a live picture. Click the capture button as soon as the image is clear and in focus.

  • Size: Not more than 25 KB.
  • Dimensions: Approx. 140-160 pixels.

D. Finish

Specify how you are applying:

  • Through IBSAT 2026, or
  • By submitting valid scores (2024 onwards) of GMAT®/CAT/XAT/NMAT by GMAC™.
IBSAT declaration and final steps

Declaration & Final Steps

In this section, you will be required to choose “I Agree” to the declaration statement. This declaration affirms that all the information that you have entered is correct.

  • On clicking “Submit” your data will be saved and you will move on to the final page.
  • On clicking the link “Login” by logging in with your application number and registered password or mobile number and OTP you will move on to the profile page
  • wherein you may view the details entered and provide scores from 2024 onwards of CAT/NMAT by GMAC™/XAT/GMAT™.
