Accelerated Transition to Blended Online Learning
With the intention of preventing academic year loss for students, IBS accelerated the transition to blended online learning and transformed its teaching, learning, and assessment into a more engaging and impactful process by redesigning courses with a thoughtful blend of synchronous and asynchronous modes of learning. IBS online learning is thus a blend of both formats.
IBS, a pioneer in technology-enabled learning, introduced Quicforce, its Learning Management System (LMS) based on the “Moodle” platform, in 2012. This advantage helped IBS make a rapid and smooth transition to blended online learning and provided significant benefits to both faculty and students during this pandemic period.
Since all faculty members are well versed with Quicforce, the transition to blended online learning has been smooth at IBS. A comprehensive online training session was conducted for students to familiarize them with session delivery through the LMS, which enabled them to understand and access the IBS LMS online platform for courses, activities, assignments, quizzes, and more.
IBS delivers its program through live sessions in an interactive mode. After each live session, learning reflections are assessed through formative evaluations using the LMS-enabled platform for more than 6,000 students.
The content of all courses was made available online to students in advance to facilitate easy grasp and smoother interaction with faculty members in comprehending management education. The LMS mobile app further helped students receive notifications and alerts. In addition, physical textbooks were delivered to students at their doorsteps.
Examinations and evaluations are being conducted through the Quicforce platform without compromising the set benchmarks of IBS academic delivery.
